Just before 2 :00 pm (02/01) units from DC Fire Department were alerted for a reported apartment building on fire at the Potomac Gardens Apartment complex in the 1218 block of I Street SE. Units arrived and found fire showing from the 2nd floor. A 2nd alarm was requested do to the high number of elderly people in the building. The fire was knocked down in about 10 mins. No injuries were reported.

01/21/08:  Unit were alerted to a reported building fire at 12th and K st N.E. Unit arrived at Jimmy's tire shop and found have smoke showing. Units found fire on the 1st floor with possible extension to the 2nd and 3rd floor.  All personel were pulled out of the bldg and a 2nd and 3 rd alarm were called.

214 7th Street S.E - Unit were dispatched for the report of a bldg fire. Units arrived on the scene and found fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story bldg. Personnel were advised there were apts above the store, Unit seached the apts while the Eng. Co's were knocking the fire down on the 1st floor. The seach found no one in the apts. Chief Rubin responded to the scene to asses the damages.
